This MTB route mainly runs along forest paths and other unpaved roads. At the start, follow the black run-up route over the viaduct. On the other side of the viaduct you go downhill and from here, you can start the route alongside the N48 motorway. After having cycled on a paved road/bicycle path for two kilometres, you cycle into the forest. Once in the forest, what started as a dirt track quickly becomes a test of your steering skills. Fun single tracks, sharp turns and small short climbs demand your utmost concentration! This part of the forest by Zuidwolde is also referred to as ‘little Switzerland’.
After the technical section, the route’s paths become broader and straighter. A good time to recover and pick up the pace. After several kilometres, you dive back into the forest. This part features some more fun, technical segments with narrow trails. After this second and third technical part, there is a section of bicycle path and a relatively long section alongside a ditch. You end up on dirt tracks, and ultimately, on the bicycle path towards the previously mentioned viaduct.
