The Barnyard is a B&B in our former farm in the Dutch village of Garminge with a welcoming atmosphere of personal service with genuine attention for the guest. The B&B is fully equipped for individual guests as well as for a weekend away with family or friends.
In a rural setting, our comfortable lodges with original roof trusses still breathe the atmosphere of the old farmhouse. Different accent colours and warm fabrics give each lodge an individual character. The decor is contemporary and equipped with all comforts. The breakfast room with terrace overlooks the landscape of Drenthe.
Nearby, there are several nature reserves like the "Dwingelderveld" and "Mantingerzand". The heritage village of Orvelte has quaint shops and Westerbork offers a wide choice of restaurants. For those who want a shopping trip; Assen, Emmen, Hoogeveen and Groningen are easily accessible. The Golf Club the Gelpenberg is just a 9-minute drive from the B&B.
