This mill boasts an impressive history of relocations. Previously the location of another mill, the current mill was rebuilt at this location in 1916. Nooit Gedacht is originally from Leeuwarden. It later moved to Heerenveen and then to Hankate. Its current location is the mill’s fourth. Mill experts believe no other smock mill has been relocated as often as this one.
