Campsite Torentjeshoek

Medium-sized charm campsite on the Dwingelderveld National Park, 1.5 km south of Dwingeloo. Here you camp under tall trees, with your feet in the grass. From the campsite you walk down the path into the natural beauty of Drenthe with its heathland. The campsite is a natural, green haven and a great departure point for hiking and cycling tours.

Come with tent or caravan, or rent a Treehouse
With your own tent, caravan or camper van, book a grassy pitch on one of the fields, with a wide view. Or perhaps you prefer a pitch on woodland among the trees, with more privacy and low vegetation. Very sunny or rather shady, the choice is yours. The fields are bordered by trees; two of them are car-free. The pitches are spacious: from around 100 to 170 m2. If you prefer to rent, you have a wide choice of rental accommodation that combines the comfort of a cottage with camping in nature. Choose from one of the Safari Tents, Chalets, Forest Boat, Army Truck, Treehouse XXL and Tree Houses. But we also have a Dom'Up a tent which hangs between the trees with outdoor kitchen and comes with its own toilet hut.

Family holiday under tall trees
As a guest at the campsite, you have free access to "Het Beleefpark Dwingeloo" (including outdoor pool), 300 metres from the campsite. Swim in the 25-m pool, dive from the diving platform, play with your children in the paddling pool or slide down the water slide. On the campsite itself, children will enjoy the outdoor playground with cable ride, bouncy cushion, swing and other play facilities. In high season, an entertainment team organises all kinds of games and activities for children, such as crafts, bottle football, ghost tours and baking bread by a campfire.

In our cosy Brasserie you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a tasty treat, a refreshing drink with a snack or a delicious plate meal. At 't Snackhuusje, you can buy an ice cream, snack or take away an oven-baked pizza. On the terrace or in the evening by the fireplace in the bar, you can meet up for a casual drink. In our mini shop, at the reception, you can buy your forgotten groceries. In Dwingeloo you will find more restaurants, all kinds of shops and a supermarket. At the campsite you can rent bikes and E-Choppers to explore the surroundings. You can also rent go-karts for use on the campsite.

"Dare to be Different" at Torentjeshoek! The Sky Lodge is a special accommodation where you sleep on a higher level. Literally, because with the stairs you reach the sleeping area. A Glamping rental tent with two floors. Fully in style, you will enjoy a living room, kitchen and a separate sleeping cabin. Lovers of 'real' camping will love it here! The simplicity of camping, but with the unique feeling of sleeping in a rooftop tent. There is sleeping space for four people together in one room, large enough for two adults and two small children. If you prefer a second "bedroom", you can put up your own extra tent.

Camping in a luxury Safari Tent. With up to 5 or 7 people, depending on the type of Safari Tent, you can enjoy breakfast on your own wooden terrace, at a beautiful location at the edge of the woods. After a day of hiking, cycling or safari, you plop down on one of the comfortable beds. Take a nice shower in the luxurious bathroom, prepare your meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Camping in your own country? It doesn't feel like that in a Safari Tent! 

SafariCabin: Enjoy a fully-equipped safari tent for 4 to a maximum of 5 people. This SafariCabin has a toilet, a kitchen with electric cooker, sink, fridge and electric heater. Cosy and special camping.

A Mini-Chalet: characteristic and charming! For those who love comfort but don't like to overdo it. This cosy accommodation has the atmosphere of a cosy bed and breakfast. A cute cottage with all the facilities for up to 4 people.

The Luxury Chalet: especially for pleasure-seekers! Sleep comfortably, wake up in the open air and have a nice long breakfast with warm bread, fresh coffee and a newspaper. For a wonderful carefree holiday in Drenthe or weekendbreak for 2 to 4 people.

Treehouse XXL is an experience in Drenthe you will never forget!
Waking up in a stunning location. Breakfast on the terrace with a cup of coffee in the morning sun while enjoying the sounds of the birds. The squirrels rustling through the trees. Enjoying a glass of wine in the evening sun at 7 meters height. The Treehouse is suitable for 4 to 7 people, with every luxury and, as a present, an enchanting view. If you are very quiet, you may see a deer coming to wish you a good evening. Unique and cool. Romantic...with a touch of mysticism.

Spend the night in a cool Army Truck!  This is a 2-person accommodation that can be extended with a small Army Jeep and/or a Trailer in which 2 people each can spend the night. This way, you can upgrade to an accommodation suitable for 6 persons.

The love boat of Torentjeshoek! When you book an overnight stay in the Bosboot, you will have a wonderful weekend ahead of you. Sleeping together on dry land, in the middle of the beautiful forests of Drenthe. Adventure on deck and ashore. Suitable for a maximum of 2 people.

Be one with nature in a Treehouse at Torentjeshoek! This treehouse fits in perfectly with its wooded surroundings. In terms of appearance, but also in terms of facilities. Back to basics with a jerrycan, picnic table and 2-burner electric cooker. The simplicity of camping for up to 4 people, but up high and dry!

Adventurous camping is possible in our newest accommodation: the Dome'Up! You spend the night high and dry between the branches of the trees. Inside the tent you will find a comfortable bed where you can spend the night with a maximum of 2 people. You can relax on the deck in front of the tent. Can you see yourself with a glass of wine, listening to the rustling of the branches and the cheerful singing birds? Downstairs is a private sanitary unit with toilet that you can use with both feet on the floor. For a refreshing shower, you can use our luxurious sanitary building. If you fancy something tasty, you can prepare your own meal in the outdoor kitchen. For a little shelter from the bright sun or rain, we have hung up a tarp (tent awning) for you.
