Department Store Vanderveen

Vanderveen Department Store is located in the middle of the cultural heart of Assen, about a 3-minute walk from the nearest bus stop (on the Oostersingel) and within walking distance of all tourist attractions. A day of shopping can therefore be ideally combined with a visit to, for example, the Drents Museum, De Nieuwe Kolk theater, and the Asserbos. Or take a city walk along the Vaart, the beautiful mansions, and the famous statue of Bartje.

We organize various events, such as in-store performances in the music department and ongoing exhibitions, including those of the Drents Schildersgenootschap. Events also regularly take  place  on the Koopmansplein, in front of our door, and in the Gouverneurstuin, and there is a market in Assen every Wednesday.
