Noordenveld mill was probably built in 1878. It had the same owner for a long time. He first used it himself and later rented it out. In 1962 a new owner arrived on the scene, restoring the mill. The ground floor and the first attic became living quarters; several years later, a house was built next to the mill for permanent habitation. Since its owner’s focus was on using the mill as a living space, it wasn’t operational for a long time; however, owing to the efforts of a group of dedicated volunteer millers, the mill has been operational again since 2002.
