Like Norg, the village of Dalen has two mills. Mill De Bente is a production mill that became operational again in 1994. Open three days a week, the mill is run by an artisinal miller. There is a shop on the ground floor that sells a wide range of flours. The mill produces more than a hundred different types of mixtures and products for both bulk and private consumers. The miller is highly active, receiving groups for tours (including in German) and children’s birthday parties.

De Bente is a production mill. It is set up in such a way that it can always mill. When possible, milling takes place using wind power. The mill has a separate builmachine that is used to sift flour and groats. It also has a crusher to make flakes. Both machines can be run using wind power and electricity. A highly productive mill to this day, De Bente “breathes” the floury aroma of traditional craftsmanship.
