Amidst the picturesque nature of Drenthe, where peace and space prevail, you will find Reiling Hoeve – a historic farmstead with a rich history dating back to 1775. This farm has been in the hands of the Reiling family since it was first built, and I am now the 7th generation living here. It is a place full of stories, traditions, and cherished memories, and I warmly invite you to experience a piece of that history for yourself.

The current farm was built shortly after. Over the past years, my husband and I have carefully restored the farm, preserving many authentic elements, including the beautifully painted old bedstead wall in the pronkkamer (parlor).
Since August 1, 2019, Reiling Hoeve has been transformed into a cozy coffee and tea house. This is a small-scale, welcoming place where you can enjoy a delicious cup of freshly ground coffee, prepared in barista style, or choose from 40 varieties of loose-leaf tea, many of which are organic. But there’s more! We also offer homemade treats, refreshing cold drinks, home-made iced tea, and delicious ice creams for warm days. Relax on our spacious terrace while enjoying nature, or take a seat inside the cozy pronkkamer, where the historic bedstead wall adds a unique charm.
Whether you are exploring Drenthe by bike or on foot, Reiling Hoeve is the perfect place to start your route or take a well-deserved break. We provide ample parking and various facilities for cyclists, such as a repair station, air pump, and an e-bike charging point. You will also find maps and brochures with cycling and hiking routes, along with a route network board to help you plan your trip. Reiling Hoeve is part of the Rustpunt network, offering welcoming stops for cyclists and hikers.
In addition, you can browse our selection of unique tea gifts, accessories, and regional products, such as Bronneger Beer and DrentsGoed delicacies. And, of course, we offer 40 flavors of loose-leaf tea, carefully selected for every tea lover.
But there’s more than just tea and coffee! Gasselternijveen has a rich maritime history, and did you know that the Baptist movement in the Netherlands originated here at Reiling Hoeve? Inside, you’ll find historical documentation about this fascinating past, and I would be happy to share more about it during your visit.
