Bed and Breakfast Lieving

Near the bustling villages of Westerbork (5 Km), Zwiggelte (5 Km), Orvelte (Museum Village 9 Km), Wijster (Col Du Vam 5 Km), Elp (9 Km), Assen (TT-Circuit 17 Km). Our attractive modern new Barn is detached (semi-detached) - - Bed and Breakfast LIEVING - - in a Drenthe atmosphere, at a (residential) farmhouse. With rural views over the traditional Drenthe hamlet of Lieving, Holthe, (known for the GnomeLane) and Makkum where you can also see the Makkum Mill. Centrally surrounded by many beautiful heathland and nature reserves, including Terhorster Sand, Het Scharreveld and Dwingelderveld National Park, Col-du-Vam-berg, Diependal, Hijkerveld, Mantingerveld and Orvelterveld. Popular area for it's beautiful cycling and walking tours! With plenty of space inside and outside where you will feel completely at home. Experience and enjoy the natural tranquility with plenty of space...

A short distance away you can reach the Dwingelderveld National Park (Sheepfold-Ruinen), Orvelte (field) or the Hijkerveld (with a sheepfold), the Brunstingerveld or the Diependal. 

Ideally located, centrally and all around in the pure rural nature of Drenthe.  

An ideal location to combine with overnight stay(s) for hikers of the Drenthepad, our BedandBreakfast is close to the start and finish and also next door on several stages of this route. But of course this also applies to the Westerborkpad and the many other beautiful walking routes in Drenthe. 

We have the hospitality for our walking guests, after consultation we offer a pick-up and delivery service for a small fee. 
 Valid within a radius of 20 km and for a minimum of 2 overnight stays. 
GeoCaching enthusiasts can find 3 different routes in the area around our BedandBreakfast, something fun to do during your stay with your family, for example.

If you want to visit the TT Circuit Assen (17 km), you are also in a perfect location and easy to reach (by private or public transport at your doorstep). 

Bus stop Assen - Emmen (Line 22) in front of the door and the train station <1 km (on the Zwolle - Groningen route) of our BedandBreakfast. 

Did you know that Emmen has the largest indoor shopping center in the North, at our B&B you get on and off the bus to Emmen how great is that!

In the middle of Drenthe, central location, where you can enjoy cycling and walking and are guaranteed to enjoy the peace and nature. 

 There is also no shortage of events and activities in the area, there is something for everyone to enjoy. 

The B&B has an extensive information folder and an event newspaper. 

In a newly built barn in Drenthe style with 2 spacious identical B&B-Cottage 'Tiny Houses' ´Room Green' and ´Room Blue' (these colors represent the view of nature you have here) and 1 to 4 people per stay.

Also a nice idea to reserve both guest rooms together with 2 couples (to enjoy a nice day out together). 

Free use of the coffee & tea facilities in the seating area. 

On arrival we welcome you with a real Drenthe regional product.

Spacious seating area with a dining table with 4 chairs, but also a double sofa bed with an extra mattress (140 x 200 cm) for extra comfort. Ideal for our guests who have difficulty climbing stairs so that all guests can enjoy a pleasant stay with us, TV and Free WIFI.

Both cottages are equipped with many amenities. Including a combination microwave, Electric 2-burner hob, tap with sink, and a mini refrigerator and kettle, with drinking glasses, coffee-teacups, cutlery, plates and bowls ect. Equipped with all amenities!

Both rooms have their own entrance, private bathroom (toilet/sink/shower + extras) and a private south-facing terrace with rural views. 

A fixed staircase takes you upstairs to the spacious loft where there are extra wide 2x single (90x200) box springs with the atmosphere of the Terhorst nature reserve above your bed.

 In the morning you will enjoy a delicious breakfast, composed by yourself, with a view over the Drenthe countryside. 

The extensive breakfast selection consists of fresh coffee/tea, milk, orange juice, Drenthe egg, various types of (baked) rolls and spreads, yogurt (with muesli), various types of fruit and much more. 

You should keep the dishes used clean.

Stylish, rural and modern furnishings. 

There are all kinds of toys especially for the children and there is a large playing field at the B&B. 

Washing, drying and ironing service. 

We only rent for recreational purposes!

No young people <18 without adult supervision. 

Pay in advance with IBAN or a payment request. Reservation = Prepayment = Reservation confirmation.
