Opposite of the nature park “Zeijer Strubben”, about a 100 meters to the right from the road Zeijen-Peest, lies the small dolmen D5 (Drenthe 5). The dolmen is barely visible from the road, because it’s lying in a pit. Only four of the coping stones are visible. Until well into the nineteenth century the dolmen was covered with sand, because the dolmen builders hat covered it up. The dolmen is looking well-cared for because of this reason. The dolmen lies in between two meadows, in a small park. There are banks and it makes for a good place to relax. It’s well approachable via the road Zeijen-Peest, where there is a small sign.
