This landscape most closely resembles what Vincent van Gogh came looking for in Drenthe. Of the 140,000 hectares of raised and low peat bogs in the Northern Netherlands, only a few remnants have been preserved as nature reserves. This area is one of the few raised bog areas left in the Netherlands. Take your time and be inspired.
