Café Troost is the local pub for Noordscheschut and the surrounding villages.
In 1883, you could easily have bumped into Vincent van Gogh here, as it is quite likely that he spent time here during one of his trips in the area. Back then, it was an ideal vantage point for artists, with all those skippers and their helpers waiting for the lock and a mooring point for barges, from where travellers could continue their journey by road.
